Audrey Blondin

Audrey B. Blondin grew up in the New Haven area and has been a resident of the Northwest Corner for over 40 years. She is a graduate of Laurelton Hall, Southern Connecticut State University, B.S. magna cum laude, Temple University School of Law, J.D. and the University of Connecticut, M.P.H. She has been in private practice in Torrington since 1980 and she and her daughter Rose Blondin Shea have Litchfield County’s only mother-daughter law firm. Her primary areas of practice are Real Estate, Estate Planning, Wills, Probate and Elder Law, along her daughter’s practice areas of Bankruptcy and Business Law.

In addition to Audrey’s full time law practice, she is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law and Public Health at the University of New Haven. She is a past recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Citizen of the Law Award and is a former member of the Connecticut Judicial Selection Commission. She served as a member of the Litchfield Board of Selectman from 1993-2003, and currently serves as Secretary of the Connecticut Democratic Party as well as the 30th District State Central Committeewoman. She and her husband Dr. Matthew Blondin, have done extensive volunteer mission work in Nicaragua as the founders and directors of VOSH-CT
(Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) helping to provide eye care and glasses to over 50,000 patients in need, as well as with RAM(Remote Access Medical) in Virginia. She and her husband have 3 children, Dr. Nicholas Blondin, Dr. Joseph Blondin and Attorney Rose Blondin Shea, along with 7 grandchildren and a foster son from Nicaragua and 3 foster grandchildren.
