Erich Marriott, CMA, Treasurer
Erich’s connection to Litchfield goes back 20 years from marrying Eileen McDermott, who was born and raised in Litchfield. Eileen and Erich moved to Litchfield eight years ago to raise their kids in northwest Connecticut, the third generation in the family to matriculate through Litchfield Public Schools. He enjoys the small-town environment where you always run into a friend or neighbor while shopping or dining in town.
Erich is a financial professional with over 25 years of finance, accounting and management experience. He works as Senior Director of Finance at a restructuring firm specializing in turning around financially distressed senior living facilities and previously, served as controller for a healthcare intelligence media company. Erich began his career as a mutual fund accountant at one of the largest asset managers in the U.S and has also worked at investment banks focused on high yield and investment grade credit research and trading.
Some years ago, Erich decided to utilize his experience and background to serve our local community and give back to the town he calls home. He has served on the Litchfield Board of Finance (BOF) for over 4 years and will complete his second year as BOF Chairman in November, working with both sides of the aisle to formulate and pass the town’s budget. Erich is also the BOF representative on the Capital Improvements Committee and is Vice Chair of the Pension Commission, helping to oversee the three pension plans for the town. Additionally, he is a participating member of the town’s Broadband Commission that is focused on expanding the accessibility of broadband access in northwest Connecticut.
Erich earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and MBA from the Fordham University School of Business with a finance degree focused on corporate accounting, bankruptcy restructuring and operations management.
